Hummus Recipe

This Middle Eastern hummus recipe is delicious and satisfying, kind of like a comfort food. It makes a healthy snack served with raw vegetables, or serve it with a healthy whole grain cracker or bread.

  • 2 cups chickpeas, cooked or canned
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup sesame tahini
  • 1/2 tsp sun dried sea salt
  • 1 tsp basil
  • ½ tsp coriander or cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ to ½ cup water to desired consistency

Place all ingredients in a food processor and purée until very smooth.

Decorate with a sprig of parsley. 

Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
