Hi Gail,
it is a little challenging without having more information about your diet and health history, but here are a few ideas.
Eczema is often caused by a food allergy or a weak digestive system, especially the liver.
In the first instance, food allergies could be, soya, corn, fish, peanuts, acidic fruits, tomatoes, milk, sugar and refined starch (ie white flour) coffee, or treated meats. The best thing to do would be to keep a food journal and notice if certain foods seem to trigger an outbreak. Try eliminating each food one by one for 4 or 5 days to see if there is an improvement and if things get worse when you reintroduce the food.
How is your digestion? Do you feel tired after meals? If yes, digestive enzymes could be very beneficial. Are you eliminating 3 times per day? It is essential to ensure there is no constipation, so make sure you are eating lots of vegetables and fruits and fiber and eliminating 3 times per day.
How is your diet? All fried and fatty foods are very hard on the liver as are all chemicals, medication, etc. It is important to take a high quality Omega 3 supplement. Is there a possibility of an overabundance of yeast (candida)?
Do a pH test to ensure you are not overly acidic. If we were to do a consultation and your symptoms indicated that you needed it, I would suggest a supplement to help cleanse the liver.
